What is a portrait from Minimal Portraits?
It's a custom illustration of a person (or pet) traced from your photo, keeping their pose, hair, and outfit. You choose the style, from a clean faceless look to a fully rendered face. It's delivered as a high-resolution PNG, perfect to frame on a wall or use as a phone wallpaper, or to give as a gift.
What drawing styles can I choose?
Three: Minimal (flat, faceless, monoline), Detailed (refined linework with subtle features like brows and lips), and Realistic (soft shading and a fully rendered face). You choose the style up front, before we generate your free preview.
What sizes and orientations can I get?
Pick from four pre-defined sets before you crop: Portrait (tall, 4:5), Landscape (wide, 3:2), Square (1:1), and iPhone wallpaper (9:19.5). The download is sized to whichever you choose, so it fits the wall or screen you have in mind.
How does it work?
Upload a clear photo, pick a size, and crop it. We generate a unique minimalist illustration in seconds. You can preview the watermarked result for free. Pay once (£2.99) to download the high-resolution, unwatermarked file and get a few free edits (e.g. 'make the hair longer' or 'change the background').
How much does it cost?
One custom portrait costs £2.99. That includes the full-resolution PNG download in your chosen size, a shareable gift link, and a small number of free text-based edits so you can tweak it before saving.
Can I get a printed, framed version?
Printed and framed prints are coming soon. For now you get the high-resolution digital file in your chosen ratio, which you can print yourself or frame at any print shop.
How do I send it as a gift?
After purchase, tap 'Send it as a gift' to create a shareable link (optionally with the recipient's first name). Send the link by message. They open it, save the full-resolution image, and can frame it, print it, or set it as a wallpaper.
What kind of photo should I use?
Use a clear, well-lit photo where the face is visible and not heavily obscured. Front-facing or slight angle works best. You can use a photo of yourself, a loved one, or a pet. We support people and animals.
Is my photo stored or shared?
We process your photo to generate the portrait and do not use it for training models or marketing. We retain minimal data needed to deliver your order and support (e.g. amendments). See our Privacy page for details.
